Includes all technology, software, web development, etc., functions.
Nominations that won in the 2026 ABAs may be resubmitted for consideration in the 2027 ABAs. If they have been updated with recent achievements, they may be submitted to the same categories in which they won. If they have not been updated, they must be submitted to categories different from those in which they won.
Information to be submitted online for entries in these categories for the 2027 ABAs will include:
a. An essay of up to 4,900 characters describing the nominee’s accomplishments since January 1 2025, OR a video of up to five (5) minutes in length describing the same.
b. In bullet-list form, a brief summary (up to 1,150 characters) of up to ten (10) of the chief accomplishments of the nominee since the beginning of 2025.
c. Optional (but highly recommended), add to your entry up to 10 webpage links and up to 10 document uploads to support your case to the judges. These might be press articles, press releases, videos, or images, for example.
N01. Technical Professional of the Year
For non-executive technical professionals including software developers, web developers, technical writers, etc. There is no entry fee for this category.
N02. Technology Executive of the Year
For executive-level (VP or CXO and higher) tech professionals.
N03. Technology Team of the Year
If you wish to nominate some subset of your entire tech organization, such as a particular network-management or software development team, nominate them in this category.
N04. Technology Department of the Year
If you wish to nominate your entire tech organization, enter this category.
N05. Best Technical Support Solution
Recognizes the best technical support product, solution, or service that improves efficiency for resolving issues; improves customer experience; and/or increases problem avoidance.

N06. Best Technical Support Strategy and Implementation
Recognizes technical support organizations with the best comprehensive strategy and innovative solutions, tools, and/or services to meet customer and business needs.
N07. Technology Innovation of the Year — Hardware
Honors new hardware products or devices launched since January 1, 2025.
N08. Technology Innovation of the Year — Software
Recognizes innovative software products or platforms introduced since January 1, 2025.
N09. Technology Transformation of the Year (New for 2027)
Recognizes an organization that successfully used technology to transform its operations, business model, products, services, or customer or employee experience, resulting in significant measurable improvements.
